Baptism

Today Cinco was baptized.  It was such a special day.  The service was so special and we were able to share it with friends and most of our family.
The shawl that is around Cinco is the one that I was baptized in.  I always thought that I would have a daughter to wear my baptism gown, but God had different plans for me.  I am thankful that I was at least able to use this with all of my boys.
At our church you choose a life verse for your child.  The life verse that we chose for Cinco is Nahum 1:7 "The LORD is good.  A refuge in times of trouble.  He cares for those who trust in him."  Monk, Bebo, and Bugs memorized Cinco's life verse and said it in front of the whole church.  Such sweetness.

6 Weeks

Cinco is 6 weeks already today.  I can't believe how quickly the time is going by.  He also gave me his first smile.  Seeing his sweet smile makes all the lost sleep worth it.  LOVE him!

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day from my Motley Crew

This year I woke up on Friday thinking that it was Valentine's Day.  I had the boy's Valentine's all put together and was ready to make their day special.  I woke up to make them some pink heart shaped pancakes and made sure to wish them each a happy Valentine's Day as I greeted them.  I packed a special cookie with a heart shaped note in Monk and Bebo's lunch.  I wished others a happy Valentine's Day as I ran into them throughout the day.  At about 8:30 pm I was reading one of the boys newsletters from school.  At the end the teacher said to have a happy Valentine's Day tomorrow.  "Wait...what?"  I then researched on the internet to realize that Saturday was in fact the 14th.  I blame it on the little sleep I have been getting lately :)

One Month Old for the 5th boy

I am just in awe of how quickly the time has gone.  I was very sad when I had to take out the one month sticker to take this sweet baby's photo.  The business of our house makes the time slip by so fast.  I want to hold unto these moments forever because newborn snuggles are some of my favorite.  Also as a side note, since this is number 5 boy I have decided to give him the nickname Cinco on the blog.
Cinco, you are a sweet baby.  You love to be held which works out well because there are six people that want to hold you A LOT!  There is always someone around to entertain you while you sit on the floor or on your bouncy seat.  You will never be without a buddy that's for sure.
You have not been the best sleeper at night.  At first you had your nights and days mixed up and now you just have a hard time settling at night.  This makes things a little hard, but at least you are not colicky and are overall pretty content.
I love your smell, the warmth of your skin, your little baby stretches, and the way you curl up on my chest.  I hope that I can soak up every moment that I have with you.  I love you like crazy my little Cinco.  Love, Mama

Happy NiNtH Monk Man

On Monk's birthday morning he opened the door to his room and balloons fell on his head.  He then had birthday pancakes with sausage and LOADS of whipped cream.
Next he opened all of his presents.
His favorite was snap circuits.  He played with them all day and made a noise snap circuit that played happy birthday for his party in the afternoon.
Monk and Bebo had their party together and chose to have a Skylanders theme.

For Monk's birthday the two older boys went to Skyzone.  They had so much fun playing dodgeball and jumping into the foam pit.  Monk proclaimed this as, "the best birthday ever!"

Happy SeVeN Bebo!

I can't believe that my number two is seven.  He started his day off with some birthday pancakes.
Next up was opening some birthday gifts.  He was very excited to open up some traps for Skylanders trap force.  Then it was off to school where he got to wear a crown.  The kids sang happy birthday to him, his Nana brought him Mc Donalds for lunch, and he passed out his birthday treat.
After school was crazy bounce with four brothers.

After crazy bounce we had a birthday dinner of Bebo's choosing.  It was hamburgers, potato chips, salad, and root beer.  Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting followed.  Bebo loved his birthday and had a great day!
