Halloween Camping

This past weekend we went Halloween camping.  It is a busy, but fun weekend of camping.
Bebo wanted a minion pumpkin this year.  He actually won the pumpkin carving contest with it even though Fisherman did most of the work.
Monk man carved this one all by himself.  He even planned out what he was going to carve the night before.
And Bugs wanted a Woody pumpkin.
The rain started just after taking this picture.
 Reggie Bush with Bogs on.
The boys actually trick-or-treated like this.  We didn't even put a costume on the babykin.  It was rainy and COLD!
To end a great camping weekend the boys went for a swim in the pool.

Fall Catch Up

I have really let blogging get away from me.  I haven't been taking as many pictures because my camera is on the fritz.  I have been using my mom's little point and shoot camera.  Here is a catch up from our fall happenings.
First day of school.  Monk is a third grader and Bebo is in first.
Bugs started three school.  He is going one day a week and is in an English speaking classroom.  He has enjoyed it very much and would have probably liked going twice a week, but I didn't want to give him up that much.
Monk is playing football for the first time.
Bebo is enjoying his second year of soccer.
Our resident baby is a huge fan of his brothers.
This past weekend we went to go and pick apples.  Nothing too exciting happening.  We have been busy with the change of schedule again.

2 Years

Today my baby boy you are TWO!  For the past 24 hours I have been reminiscing of the hours that led up to meeting you.  I can remember when they placed you in my arms for the first time.  Your blond hair was one the first things that I noticed.  You have been my blondest boy since day one and your brown eyes that go along with it melt my heart.

Your life's greatest desire is to keep up with the big kids.  This has made you do everything earlier than any of your other brothers.  You were opening doors, surfing tables, and getting into things you shouldn't at an early age.

You are beginning to really like books and will actually sit for an entire book.  You are always on the move so I cherish this time. Another time that you like to sit is right after you wake up from your naps and in the morning.  I often times bring you to the couch to sit with you on my lap for a little while.  I love when your little head snuggles in my neck.

This morning was one of my favorite mornings as a mom.  Let me share with you what happened.  Your big brothers knew that your birthday was going to be today.  We had talked about it already last night.  They were so excited and wanted to help put streamers and balloons on your door.  Before you woke up the WHOLE family gathered to greet you in your room for your big birthday morning.  Every brother shared in your excitement because they all knew what came next.  You could open one of your presents and you had birthday pancakes on a "special day" plate.  It was so neat to see that all your brothers were sharing in your joy.  For as many years as you live, you will have a brother to share in your joy as well as your sorrow.  They love your unconditionally.  This is a true blessing.

I can't wait to see what your second year holds for you.  I can't wait to see you grow and change some more.  You have made my heart fuller. I love you so much, Mama

TT 2014

I got the boys to dress up for me one more year.  I am not sure how much longer Monk will be ok with this.

Spring Break 2014 - The Beach

This boy LOVES looking for shells.  He has the patience to keep at it and finds really good ones.
This boy is kamikaze and is hard to have on the beach because he runs in the opposite direction that you are going, but it was still fun to see him enjoy the waves and the sand between his toes.
We had a couple of fair weather days so we made the most of them by looking for shells.

 "Hello, is anybody there?"
This picture makes me smile.  Bugs would walk off to the beach with his little shell bag slung over his shoulder.  He enjoyed looking for shells as well.  We had LOTS of fun on the beach this year.

Spring Break 2014 - Swimming in the Pool

We headed south last week to find some warmer weather.  Fisherman traveled for work while I took the four boys with my parents and my sister's family to FL.  The boys had so much fun!  Every time was snack time for Buggy while sitting by the pool.
Bebo had so much fun swimming this year.  He spent a lot of his time in the shallow water without a life jacket on.  He met a little friend the last couple of days and they had fun playing games together.
The condo next to ours had a little kids wading pool.  Buggy and the babykin had a fun time in there, but it was hard to keep the baby from getting out and wandering.  He does NOT like to stay in one place for very long.

The big pool was not the Bug's favorite.  Many of us tried to get him to go in the water and love it, but all he did was cry.  He had fun eating snacks, squirting squirt guns, and playing with bubbles.
However, the littlest brother was very daring and he was jumping off the steps on his own in no time.

The boys LOVED swimming in the pool so we spent a lot of time there.

A Day at the Museum

Last weekend we went to the local museum for the morning.  We received tickets as a gift.  We waited until March because we knew that there would be this lego exhibit and that the boys would like that.
It was crazy interesting to see how many hours these sky scrappers took to build out of legos.

The main reason we went was to see the dinosaur exhibit.  The exhibit was filled with huge mechanical moving dinosaurs that also made sounds.  Monk and Bebo loved everything about this.  Buggy, however, was a little scared of the whole thing.  Most of the time he spent nuzzled into my neck.
This was such a great boy thing to do and a good way to spend a Saturday together as a family.

Love and Beach

I only have pictures of the little two from Valentine's Day. The pickle baby is a "hunk of burnin' love" isn't he?
 Stud

We have big plow pile out front of our house so the boys went sledding on it.  I LOVED that the two big brothers were so willing to help the little boys out.  I didn't even ask.
Fisherman made a snow fort for them.
We also took a ride out to the state park.  The boys had so much fun sliding down some of the frozen waves and walking out to the light pole at the end of the pier.

Sadly, we drove all the way out there and realized that we forgot Buggy's coat.  He gets so hot in the car so we didn't put it on him before we left.  We remembered everyone's hats and mittens, but forgot the coat.  He wore Fisherman's sweatshirt over his snow pants.  His little body stayed warm from all the walking we did.
The boys had so much fun doing this.  We are going to try it again before the winter is over.
