I believe that God calls us as believers to come together and pray for each other. There seems to be so much hurt within the people that I know lately. I could probably give you a list of like 300 prayer requests, but here are three that are very near and dear to my heart right now:
1. The Wiersma Family I graduated with both of the parents and actually remember playing dress up with the mama in her ubber cool basement. Please pray for their two twin boys who were both born under two pounds. Pray that they will both fight for their lives. As a mom myself their blog has brought tears to my eyes. The moment you know about the child inside of you, you love them with all your heart.
2. Fisherman's aunt has found out that she has a very aggressive cancer. She has had surgery to remove it and now will also go through radiation. Please pray for her strength and family as they go through this.
3. A little over a week ago this family and this family along with many others that I hold near and dear to my heart lost their dear Dad, Grandpa, and husband. Pray that they all may find God's peace.

Uh mmmm I'm not sure
First off today we're riding in the car when Monk spots a mouse on the side of a building.
Monk: "Hey Mommy."
Me: Annoyed and not really listening because this is like the 400th time he has said this phrase in the last two minutes. "What Baby."
Monk: "There's Chucky Chees-ez"
Me: "Oh yup there is Chucky Cheese"
Monk: I like to go to Chucky Chees-ez and he trails off into something while I am listening to the radio. Then I hear, "He's a nice guy."
Me: "Did you just say that Chucky Cheese is a nice guy?"
Monk: "Yup he just is, he's a nice guy. I like to give him hugs just like I give you hugs."
So there you have it folks Chucky Cheese is a nice book in the book of Monk!
Secondly, Steve our fish has passed on to bigger and better things. This fish was so weird so I am not 100% sure that he was in fact dead. He would look like he was dead all the time and then all of a sudden start to swim around when you moved his tank. So I changed his water yesterday and it was just too much shock for him. He was there floating on his side, but when I went to the toilet and made the flush he seemed to still have life in him. By that time it was too late. OK so I thought that I would always be honest with my kids no matter what came up. So today when Monk asks where Steve is I couldn't answer him. Finally when he was jumping up and down crying I told him that Steve was swimming in the ocean with all his friends. WHAT?? I just couldn't pull the plug on the kids innocence. Anyone else have some better ideas of how I should approach this?

Thirty-Seven Months 03/08/09 - Monk
Monk I can tell that you are three now. You are starting to talk a little clearer and have so much more to say. The other day I realized as we were sitting and having lunch and as you were talking to me and telling me that I had made a nice lunch for us and thank you, that you are growing up so fast. I feel like we can actually carry on a conversation together with all the new talking skills you have learned.
You do like to show your Independence though too and act very "three" in that sense as well. Everything has to be done, "by myself" and when it doesn't happen that way man do you go berserk. I love you little man! I love your kisses, you hugs, and your little one liners. I love you with everything that I have! Love, Mama

Leaving the 80's Behind
Bebo was starting to sport a bit of a mullet. While I love it and I REALLY didn't want to get rid of it because it was his baby hair. The fact that when we were out and people were assuming he was a girl made me decide to have it cut off.
Bebo never really lost his hair some of this is probably his newborn hair which just warms my heart.
