"Reach for the Sky"

If you run into us out and about these days you will probably have a Woody sighting. This is one of those things where I choose my battles and I just let him wear these. Otherwise there is a lot of kicking and screaming. I have a hard time getting both boys Woody pajamas in the wash.
Bebo wears a sleeper over these pajamas in the winter because he doesn't sleep under the covers. Every night we have an argument about putting the sleeper over the Woody jammies and usually one of the first things he asks in the morning is if he can be Woody now.
His cowboy hat is well loved as you can see. We get lots of smiles from people while we are out.
These pajamas, cowboy hat, and boots will be saved for this little man because of how much he loved them.

The truth on the big boys

The two big boys LOVE their newest brother, but it has not all been rainbows and butterflies. I feel bad that a lot of my attention is spent feeding and tending to the baby. I have been trying to come up with some creative things for Monk and Bebo to do. Marshmallows and tooth picks kept them busy for a good half hour one day. I was amazed at all the creative things that they came up with.
It has just been three weeks and I can already tell that the adjustment period is winding down. For awhile there Monk was being pretty naughty. One day he woke Bebo up from his nap so that they could play during rest time even though we have talked about how this is wrong. Bebo has been crying more than normal about little things. Other than being a little bored from being home a lot more than we used to be and some more punishments and a little more tears, I could not have asked for things to go more smoothly.

Three Weeks

Today I had to bring this guy in for a weight check because he didn't hit his birth weight at 2 weeks. This week he weighed in at 8 pounds and 9 ounces. I am so thrilled that he is gaining.
Today Monk and Bebo are with Nana for a little while so I am enjoying some quit time with my sweet three week old!

Oh the Kisses

This boy gets hundreds of kisses a day from his brothers. I took this picture not even realizing that the baby had chocolate just by the hairline on his forehead from a Bebo kiss.

Hands on a Miracle...

... I've got my hands on a miracle. Believe it or not hands on a miracle.
- Foo Fighters
I am trying to enjoy every minute with this little man. It is going so fast. This past Monday he was two weeks already. He weighed in at 8 lbs. and is still wearing some sweet newborn clothes.

Three Brothers

"Hey Mom, I have an idea, Bebo can sit on my lap and then he can hold the baby. Won't that be a good picture?" -Monk

One Week

90 diapers, somewhere over 36 hours spent nursing, and 7 days later my love has grown into unfathomable amounts. Today at 1:04 pm I had a hard time believing that it has been a week already. He is such a sweet baby boy.

Pumpkin Nose

The baby, who we have not thought of a nick name for yet, is having some problems with jaundice as you can see in the picture above. He had to have his blood drawn yesterday and will need to again on Sunday. We are doing pretty good adjusting to being a family of five and it is crazy how in just five days we already can't imagine life without him.

Home

Today we packed up our belongings and this new little man and headed home from the hospital. It was bittersweet for me. I was ready for my own bed, but sad that this may be my last hospital experience with a newborn.

The boys came home soon after we got there and were sooooo excited to see their brother again.
Bebo was OBSESSED with putting the baby in his seat and just like Monk when we brought Bebo home, Bebo had to have on ALL the switches to the bouncy seat for his little brother. The boys made sure that the baby had his blanket and was comfortable at all times.
This new addition is so much fun for us all.

It's our third boy!

Yesterday at 1:04 pm I laid eyes on the fifth member of our family and I fell deeply in love instantly. We welcomed our THIRD little boy into the world and he came quickly when he finally decided to. He weighed in at 8 pounds and 6 ounces. This may seem large to some, but every time I look at him I cannot believe how small he is compared to my last baby.
He cried for a short little while, but soon was content to be in his Mama and Daddy's loving arms.
His first two visitors were his big brothers. When I called Monk to tell him the news he says, "a brother and not a sister?" I could hear the excitement in his voice and sense the smile on his face. I can tell that he is going to do a lot of holding when we come home from the hospital.
Bebo was excited in his own way. He was excited to hold him and didn't want the baby to cry.
He is a good mix between his two brothers. We couldn't believe the resemblance when we took out the boys hospital pictures.
We are deeply in love with him already and could not imagine our family without him.

2010 Reflection

HaPpY nEw YeAr! I am looking forward to a better start to 2011. I get to start the new year out by bringing new life into our family. We are all so excited. Unfortunatly last year was not the news that we were hoping for when we found out that the new life that was forming inside my body was not well enough to survive. At the begining of the year my grandpa passed away followed by my Grandma in June. The beginning of the year was filled with loss and heartache, but things turned around for us. After my Grandma passed away we went on a wonderful family vacation to Colorado to visit my brother. We got to do so many fun things. We did a lot of camping with friends and had some memorable camping trips with just our little family. In April we found out that that I was pregnant again and were overjoyed with the thought of adding another child to our family in the beginning of 2011. A highlight for Fisherman was going hunting with his dad in Montana for a week in November. School for the Monk man has been even more wonderful for him than last year. He LOVES doing craft type things and having a challenge in his life. Bebo enjoys the days that his brother is at school and he can spend them with just mom or Nana. I was able to do many little girls nights out and a weekend knowing that my life would be coming to a halt again for a little while after the new baby arrives. At the end of the year we got a new mini van to accommodate our growing family and though I was skeptical, I am already in love. Although the year started off with some loss we ended up to have a pretty great year. We are so blessed! I am looking forward to seeing what 2011 has to bring us.
