Career Day

Monk has career day at school this week and he told us that he wanted to be a fire fighter. We had to borrow the outfit. He has been pretending to be a fire fighter LOTS! It is so cute.

Baptism February 20, 2011

Our third son was baptized this past Sunday. He has been a little under the weather with a bad cold and cough and you can see it in the picture above, but it was a GREAT day.
We had some friends and family join us for lunch.
The two big boys thought the whole thing was pretty cool. Bebo kept thinking it was a birthday party with the balloons and cake.
God has richly blessed us with a healthy third son. Our prayer is that we raise him knowing what a good God we have not only by the things we say, but by the things we do.

Wearing This Baby

I haven't taken many pictures of me wearing the little guy, but it has been happening. It is my life saver. A bad cold has been making it's way through our house. It started with Monk moved on to Bebo, I had some symptoms, and then to Fisherman. I washed my hands constantly and tried to keep the kids away from the baby, but despite my best efforts he caught it. Next time I think we are all going to drink out of the same cup when the first person gets it because I would rather all have it at the same time than spend three weeks with snot. Anyway the baby is not doing so well with the cold. I have had to do some baby wearing. I even slept with him in the wrap last night :) I still love it so much!

The 8th in Pictures

Monk had a fabulous 5th birthday. He woke up to some decorations...
...and a present. He has wanted a fishing vest like his dad's since this summer. He was soooo excited to finally get one. After breakfast we went to Bible study with some of our friends and had some cupcakes.
Some "Happy Donalds" for lunch.
After nap another gift and then we watched Bolt that he got from Papa and Nana.
At night Monk had a very special treat because he got to have some of his friends over for a party. They had pizza and decorated cupcakes. They also ransacked our house :), but it was so much fun to see him so happy. We ended the night with his last present. What a great 5th birthday!

The 6th in Pictures

This guy had a fabulous birthday. I on the other hand had such a hard time believing that he was actually three.
When I went down to get him he saw the decorations and was so excited.
"We got decorations cuz its my birthday mooomm?"
He came upstairs to a "cool kix" breakfast and a present.
At noon we had a Toy Story birthday party. Both boys were in their glory.
Blowing out the candles.
We ended the day with the rest of the presents from us. A new fishing vest just like Dad's and some brain quest cards. Bebo had a wonderful third birthday.

Monk I cannot believe that FIVE whole years has gone by since I first met you face to face. At this very minute I met you for the first time. You are so excited to be five this year. You have grown up a lot since you turned four. You are really liking pre-school this year because you LOVE doing craft type stuff with glue, tape, and scissors. A lot of your time is spent coloring, cutting pictures out of magazines, and taping up all your work on the walls. Most of the time you are a REALLY good big brother. You always think of Bebo in most everything you do. You make sure that he gets a snack or a treat when you do. You are a BIG helper. Sometimes you will surprise me and pick up everything in the house. I LOVE this! You enjoy playing your leapster, making buildings with your magna tiles, and pretending with Bebo. I love your smile and your willingness to do most things that I ask of you. You still don't need a whole lot of sleep. Every once in a great while you will still take a nap, but usually it is later that you go to bed and early that you get up. I am ok with the early rising now that you are older though because I don't always have to get up with you now. You can get dressed by yourself, brush your teeth, and could even get breakfast on your own if I put the cereal in a cupboard that was lower. Monk I love you, my first born boy. I cannot believe that I have been a Mama for five whole years already. It seems like just yesterday I was at the hospital with you.
Love you always and forever,
Mama

The Beboist Snarky Pupper, today at this very second I laid eyes on my second born boy three years ago. From the moment I knew you were forming inside of me early June 2007 I fell deeply in love with you and once they placed you on my tummy at 12:58 pm that snowy day in February I knew you were the perfect new addition to our family. You have grown and changed so much in the last year. As much as you make us laugh with your funny little antics, we do sometimes refer to you as a ninety year old grumpy man. You state your opinion about most everything and sometimes it can be in a very angry voice and a scowl. If you could live in your Woody pajamas you would. Many days I just don't argue with you and you end up wearing them all day. Cowboys, Woody, and Lightening Mc Queen are your favorite. You also have a strange little obsession with zebras. In the past year you have become more independent although you still refuse to be potty trained. You love most anything sweet and could probably eat fruit snacks and m&m's for every one of your meals. I can't believe how much you talk. You talked really well at an early age, but now there is nothing that you can't say. When it is just you and me in the car you hardly take a minute to breathe. You like having some time to yourself while Monk is at school, but you are ready to pick him up and have a playmate again by the time that Monk's school time is up. You still suck your thumb and you love your "B." You and Monk enjoy pretending to go camping, fishing, and playing rodeo. Your favorite color is blue. This is the only color that you use when you color pictures. One of my favorite things that you do right now is while you are wearing your Woody jammies, you pretend to pull your "string" and then you say something that your Woody does. I love when you scrunch up your little face, put your hands on your hips and say, "reach for the sky." I cannot believe that you have been in our lives for three years already. The time has gone by so quickly. I cannot wait to see what this next year has to hold for you. I love you so much buddy. No one else could have filled the spot you did in our family. You fit us just perfectly.
Love you always and forever,
Mama
