Fisherman and I took the kids to the beach after dinner the other night. They LOVED it. While we were there, I had one of those moments where everything in my life seemed perfect.
I sat in the sand on a towel with the baby on my lap. I kissed him and smelled his sweet baby skin. As I sat there my three other boys were playing with their Dad, digging in the sand, and swimming in the water. I watched them and my heart felt full. I felt so much joy. I love that it is summer and we have been able to enjoy it with so many fun things that are free. I love that I have four kids and I love to see them interact with each other. For the 45 minutes we were there, life was perfection for me.
I love my family. Each one of my five boys are my greatest treasures. I should also tell you about something that happened earlier that day. I was making breakfast and singing a song with a line that goes like this, "you don't know a thing about me." Monk chimed in and said, "yes we do mom."
Me: "oh yea, what?"
Monk: "That you love us!"
I was overjoyed that he answered with this and that it was the first thing out of his mouth. I strive hard to show my kids love and affection. This conversation made my day and finishing the day with our beach trip was the cherry on the top.
It just doesn't get better than this for me.
