Good for a Rainy Day

I have always wanted to make my own Popsicles A. because you can make them a little more nutritious and B. because they are cheaper. We found the molds in a grocery store on the way up to the cabin and we were in business. Fisherman and Monk made them while I was gone the other night.
Now we are enjoying them on this rainy day.
They are actually better than the Popsicles that you buy in the store.
Highly recommended!

A Sad Sad Day

We have been pretty busy over here and not much has been happening. Here is a picture of Bebo in my Kozy Carrier. I still love to sling this bean whenever I can and often times feel sad when I haven't worn him at least once during the day. Anyway in the last week or so he wants to get down. I am beginning to think that my days of everyday wearing are over. I am so sad! It goes so quick. Soak up all that cuddle time while you can!

Perfect Day for the Zoo

We made our first trip to the zoo today. It won't be our last because we have a season pass. It was the perfect day. The boys LOVED it and it was some good family time. The bears were kickin' it in the sun.
Monk told me that the chimps were showing me their bunsies. I knew this comment was coming the moment we walked up to the exhibit.
And we saw lots of finger pointing and, "look at that" from the Bebomeister.

Missing This

Florida Vacation

We had a most wonderful week in FL. We experienced a little bit of cool weather, but it was always warmer than home so we couldn't really complain. Monk rode with my parents for the 20 hour drive, Bebo and I flew, and Fisherman stayed home. I missed my husband and the boys missed their Daddy, but we were in Florida man!
The view from the 13th floor
We stayed in a four bedroom condo with my parents and my sisters family. It was so much fun spending time with my parents, sister, bro-in-law, niece, and two nephews. This was the bed that Monk and I slept on. Bebo slept in the walk-in closet in the same room.
I wore the baby LOTS and Bebo and Monk had LOTS of snacks and suckers while we were there.
We saw palm trees and white sand beaches
Monk jumped in the pool all by himself
Bebo swam in the pool in his float dubbed Gloria
The boys had some "sink baths"
We smelled the salty sea, heard the rushing waves while we laid in our beds, felt the sunshine on our face, and the sand in our toes.
We walked the beach
feeling the cool water on our feet and looked for seashells.
We had an amazing week. The only thing better would have been if Fisherman was there with us to share in the joy and the new experiences.

Day 5 - Beachin' it

Thirty-Eight Months 04/08/09 - Monk

Monk you are a funny little man. I love the excitement that you have for most things we do. The other day I bought you a shirt and you said, "I love this shirt, thanks mom!" I need to take advantage of those moments because before I know it they will be gone.
You love all things having to do with your Daddy. He is your favorite person to be with right now. You are lucky to have such a good Dad.
Being on vacation this week has been so much fun for you. Swimming in the pool, playing in the sand, and playing with your cousins is right up your alley.
The further we get into the three's the more we realize that the threes may be worse than the twos. You are full of it and want to have your way whenever you can. And SNACKS, you want them ALL the time and get so upset when you can't have one.
These goggles are fab aren't they? I bought them for you while on vacation and you LOVE them. They even went to the Olive Garden with us. This is one thing that I love about you, if you find something that you really like then you have to have it at all times. Monk you light up my life and make things so much more fun. I love you with all my heart.
Love, Mama

Deceiving

Now it may look like it is nice here, but it is COLD! We went to the State Park to look for some shells and Bebo and I had to come back because of the chill. Tomorrow is suppose to be better so we will be back at the pool then.
In other news this is what I lay down next to every night and what I wake up to. SCRUMPTIOUS!

Fourteen Months 04/06/09 - Bebo

Fourteen months little man. I am not sure how long this months letter is going to be because we are on vacation after all. I always knew that you were a good baby, but since I have had the chance to go on vacation with you and travel I realize that you are an amazing little man. You have been such a champ through it all. You have cried very little and did so well on both the plane rides. Your personality reminds me of your Dad. You are so laid back and take life as it comes.
You are a little water rat. When we go to the Aquatic Center at home you love it and you LOVE spending time in the pool here in FL. You suck your thumb A LOT. It seems to just get more and more. Every time someone picks you up it's like they push a button and your thumb automatically goes in your mouth.
You LOVE LOVE to eat and drink. Anything that comes your way that can be eaten goes into your mouth. I give you a cup to drink and it is gone in 5 minutes. You love collecting little trinkets and putting them in some sort of container. You are getting better and better at walking and have mastered walking in shoes this past month. You were spoiled with Robeez up until it started getting warmer outside.
An ultimate favorite of yours is playing in the dish washer. You climb up into it just like your brother did, pull out the plastic stuff on the top rack and put it up on the counter. Bebo you are an amazing little man. While we have been in FL you have hung with the girls and been so easy going. I LOVE this about you and it makes it so easy for me. I love you with all my heart kid. Happy Fourteen Months!
Love, Mama

We went swimming today even though it was not the nicest weather. We are in for a cold front for the next couple of days. SAD! The boys had SO much fun swimming in the pool with their cousins.

Satisfaction

Ah vacation! Bebo and I made it safe and sound. We are patiently awaiting to see Monk and the rest of the clan. The sunshine on my face feels SO amazing. Bebo was the most FABULOUS baby on the plane. He did so good! I couldn't have asked for anything better. We are ready for a week of relaxation. We miss you already Fisherman!

One Boy

Just me and this boy today. Monk is on his way to the sunny state with his Papa and Nana. It is so wierd to only have one kid. I totally forgot what life was like with only Monk. We went out for breakfast with Grandpa and Grandma this morning and it was a breeze. I am liking having this one on one time with Bebo. He is crying less because he doesn't have his big brother around to pick on him. Tomorrow he and I will be on our way to the sunny bliss as well. I NEED it!

BLEACH, I need Bleach!

Man we need to get rid of whatever is going on over at our house. I am convinced that I could build the Sear's tower out of the mucus that Monk, Bebo, and myself are producing. Somehow Fisherman has been able to escape the whole thing. Since February 21, yeah that means six weeks this Saturday, the three of us have been struggling with sickness. Mine went from Sinus infection, to strep throat, to sinus infection, and my voice has been non existent for almost four days now. I am on my third dose of antibiotics and if this doesn't work we are going to have to look into things a little further and by that I mean put my claustrophobic self into a tube to get a cat scan. Monk has had to be on drops for his ear and has some cold symptoms with a cough that has lingered. I am beginning to wonder if his isn't allergies though because I have been doing nasal spray the last two days and that seems to help him. I mean you think he were dying a slow and painful death when you have to put the nasal spray in his nose, but after about 15 minutes of crying he seems a lot better. Bebo has had a rough deal too. He had a double eye infection and a double ear infection. He was on antibiotic for both of those things and his ear didn't clear up so this week we were back at the doc getting some more medicine. We are keeping our doctor in business for sure. Bebo and I will be flying on Saturday so I am hoping that some of the mucus clears out or we are going to have a painful flight. So if anyone is interested in coming over to my house next week to scrub EVERYTHING down with bleach so that this all goes away, Fisherman will let you in because he is staying home from our little vacation. I know what your thinking, "why would you stay away from the bless-ed sunshine." He is a crazy one that Fisherman and thinks that he needs to earn a living or something. I am hoping the sunshine cures us all.
