Sauce Pickin'

Today the boys and I took our annual trip to the apple orchard to do some pickin'. It was not the nicest of days, but when a Mama makes a promise to a 4 year old boy her heart just can't stand breaking it. The picture above depicts what having two brothers is all about. I can't get both of them to look at me and have a nice smile on their face at the same time to save my life.
This little Bebo made a big change from last year in that he actually picked the apples from the trees instead of merely picking them up off the ground.
Monk did so good at finding the perfect apple. I gave him a little description of what to look for and he stayed true to that.

A trip to the orchard is not complete without having a little treat at the end of all that picking.

I need to cherish these days that I have with my boys. It is so much fun for me to go on these little adventures with them.We picked A LOT of apples. I am planning on making apple sauce in the next week.

5 Months down, 4 to go

I feel a little goofy posting this picture of myself, BUT here you have the baby belly at five months. I am a little late on posting this. Monk was the photographer so this is why I am on one half of the picture. So far this pregnancy has been just as easy as my last two. I am a little more tired with this one, but I think that happens with each pregnancy because you are stretched so thin with your other children running around. I am CONVINCED that this baby is a boy, but like many have told me, I DO have a 50/50 chance. The past couple of weeks I have been very impatient and wanting to have this baby, but I think it is because if I would have carried my last pregnancy full term I would have had a little newborn in my arms right now. I don't think another September will ever pass that I will not think of what could have been. I have been feeling the baby move constantly and am getting small projects done here and there in preparation. I hope next month is just as good as this one.

Anniversary Weekend Get-away

Labor Day weekend Fisherman and I were able to get away for a couple of nights without the kids. His parents were kind enough to take them for a couple days so that we could enjoy each other. Man I forget how good it is to just spend some one on one time. We went to a little B & B that we have been to before near Fisherman's parent's house. It is the cutest little place and they treat you so well there.
I didn't take very many pictures, but this is one of a little hole in the wall Mexican Restaurant that we went to. It was FABULOUS! We enjoyed eating dinners without kids climbing all over us and staring at the people behind us. We enjoyed some cable t.v., maybe a little too much. We were also able to catch a good movie. It was a GREAT weekend.

Pre-K

Monk started Pre-school this week. He is in the Spanish Immersion program again and he LOVES it! This year I can really tell a difference in him. Last year he always liked school, but wouldn't talk about it much. This year he LOVES going and I can really tell by how much he tells me about things. I am looking forward to seeing him grow this year.
