One year ago today at 4:24 pm you were placed in my arms for the very first time. I cannot believe how quickly the time has gone by or how much my love for you has grown. You are my heart sweet little boy and I love you to the moon and back. I can envision the moment that the doctor placed you in my arms like it was yesterday. You were one of the most beautiful babies I had ever seen. My heart grew bigger in that moment and I promised to love you forever no matter what.
This past year has been a complete blessing to be able to be your Mama. You are the sweetest of babies and have made having four kids easy on me. I have loved every moment of watching you grow and change. Tears fill my eyes as I remember your first smile and your first little giggle. Your brothers, Dad, and I cheered you on as you began to roll from your tummy to your back. I loved watching you drag your little body behind you as you first started to scoot across the floor. The day you crawled I watched you discover your world in a whole different way. My heart was overjoyed when you took your first steps and I said a prayer thanking God for giving me another child that had all his working parts.
You are wearing 12-18 month clothes, size three diapers, and eating mostly table foods. You are now walking more than you crawl. You adore your brothers and anything that has to do with them. You love to be outside and to be held.
I love your smile and when your brothers make you laugh. I love to nuzzle my face in your neck and take in all of your baby goodness. I love to blow raspberries on your belly and listen to the laugh that comes out of your little body.
The picture above is how you sit when you are not walking and are exploring something. It is so endearing to me and I have taken many pictures of you sitting like this just so that I can remember these sweet moments.
I am so incredibly blessed to be chosen to be your Mom. I love everything about you. I pray for you sweet baby boy. I pray that you may have a life full of wonderful surprises, that you will become a man that loves Jesus, and that you can praise him even when storms come your way.
